Battau

Battau is a bird's-eye view action game where players embody the murky life of a mysterious dark-suited, katana-wielding swordsman whose duty it is to fight the unending hordes of mafia wiseguys who are armed outfitted with a wide range of firearms.

Controllers in Battau are simple, yet original. Tapping on your screen has your character move to that spot as fast as they can, slashing through any enemy that dare cross their path. Notwithstanding, while your hero is stands still and you don't tap the screen, time completely freezes. That way, you'll have a moment to stop and calculate each and every one of your movements. Careful here, a single misfire can end up with your hero lying dead on the floor.

In Battau there's only a single backdrop (it's fairly small), but the non-stop enemy onslaught makes up for that in spades. On top of that, once you've managed to finish off those enemies, you'll have a makeshift 'boss' to take care of who'll be waiting for you armed to the teeth with machine guns.

In short, Battau is a fun and unique action game that'll remind you in some lights of the great Hotline Miami. A truly frenetic title that calls for players' precision, skill and strategic ingenuity.
